Derived from a lamp designed in the 1940s by architect Vilhelm Lauritzen for the Danish Broadcasting House in Copenhagen, the VL Ring Crown 3 Pendant Light boasts three striking pendants. Not only were the lights put to good use in the country's Broadcasting House, but in 1947, designer Finn Juhl used them as part of his interior vision for the porcelain manufacturer Bing & Grøndahl in Copenhagen. With its remarkable Danish history, the VL Ring Crown family of pendant lights will prove an unforgettably inquisitive source of light in the most refined spaces. Designed to bring a distinct and authentic touch of warm light to contemporary interiors, each light is crafted from mouth-blown opal glass and suspends from a polished brass rod. If left untreated, the brass will oxidise over time for a more organic appearance. Care instructions: Dust with a dry cloth. Requires 3 x Max 40W E27 bulbs (not included)
I love the VL Ring Crown 3 Pendant Light for its clean lines and versatile aesthetic, making it a great statement piece in both contemporary and more classic interiors. Its balanced proportions and subtle gold detailing lend a touch of elegance without overwhelming the space. This pendant works particularly well over dining tables, kitchen islands or in open-plan living areas where a central focal point is desired. For practical styling, consider pairing it with warm LED bulbs to emphasise its cosy glow or adjusting the height to suit the ceiling height and room function. Its understated yet sophisticated look means it can be easily integrated into colour schemes from neutral palettes to richer, moody hues.
