Description

Design. With a spacious interior and clean, contemporary look, the Vivika 3 drawer chest is an ideal addition to the modern bedroom. Its deep drawers are handleless, with push release mechanisms that allow you easy access, even when your hands are full of lovely fresh laundry!. Vivika features grey high gloss fronts softened by smooth corners, whilst the top and base of the chest are finished in warm walnut – a beautiful blend of character and contemporary style. Combine with other pieces in the bedroom range for a stunningly cohesive look.

Our Stylist Says

The Vivika 3 Drawer Chest is a versatile piece that works well in both contemporary and Scandi-inspired interiors thanks to its clean lines and neutral grey finish. I love how its understated design can effortlessly blend with various colour schemes and decor styles, providing practical storage without overwhelming the space. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with minimalist accessories or a simple table lamp on top, and maybe a plant or artwork nearby to introduce a touch of personality. It’s particularly suited for bedrooms or living rooms where tidy storage is a priority, and its compact size makes it a great choice for smaller spaces or as a bedside cabinet. Keep the surface free of clutter to maintain its sleek appearance, and use the drawers for organising essentials to keep the room looking uncluttered.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
