Description

With a shape inspired by ancient columns, this table lamp was named after Vitruvius, a Roman author known for writing about the column order. He believed that architecture should have the three attributes of strength, utility and beauty, and this lamp certainly achieves that. Handmade from wood with tiered and bamboo detailing to give it its ridged relief, the lamp has then been painted a matte black for striking effect.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Vitruvius table lamp for its clean, sculptural silhouette and striking matte black finish, making it a versatile piece that suits both contemporary and minimalist interiors. It's particularly effective in schemes that incorporate monochrome tones or natural textures, adding a subtle yet bold statement. For styling, consider pairing it with textured ceramics or brass accents to add warmth and layers of interest. It works well on a sideboard, console, or bedside table where its bold form can be appreciated up close. A tip would be to keep the surrounding decor simple to highlight the lamp's architectural quality, ensuring it remains a focal point without overwhelming the space.
