Its smooth shell and slim metal base suit modern, Scandi-inspired or mid-century living rooms and home offices alike. To style it, layer a neutral sheepskin or woven throw over the back for texture, or add a slim lumbar cushion in a contrasting hue. Grouped around a low coffee table it reads as a design classic, but it also stands up well solo in a reading nook or by a console.

Heal's is a well-known British furniture store with a history that spans over 200 years. It began in 1810 when John Harris Heal and his son started a business for feather products but soon moved into furniture.
