Beautifully handcrafted by Vispring, the Dartington divan bed is luxuriously comfortable. The mattress is generously filled with soft, all-natural materials including Platinum Certified British fleece wool and cotton. Within are two layers of Vispring’s famous 6 turn vanadium steel springs offering responsive support. The mattress rests on a solid timber sprung base, upholstered in a wide choice of fine upholstery. There’s something rather special about the Vispring Dartington mattress. It’s designed to mould perfectly to the shape and weight of your body, and yet even with repeated use it springs back to its original form. Offering a cosy traditional feel, this 21 cm handcrafted mattress has 1558 vanadium steel pocket springs in king size. Springs have six coils and are hand-nested in calico pockets for superb support. Soft natural fillings include bonded British fleece wool and cotton, British fleece wool, and blended British fleece wool and cotton. The mattress itself is covered in high-quality ticking and is hand tufted with felt washers. Borders are upholstered in protective wool and have two rows of hand side stitching, horizontal handles and air vents. The beautiful Vispring Dartington mattress is part of the British-made Vispring Dartington collection. The range also includes a divan set with mattress and upholstered divan base. Please note. The mattress should be aired for four hours after delivery to freshen and remove any aroma from storage. It may take time for your mattress to attain its full size once the springs have settled to the correct position. This is due to the mattress being upright during transit. Settlement of fillings and indentations caused by body weight compressing the fillings are natural and not considered defects. This can be minimised by regular rotating (unless yours is a dual tension mattress).
