With its modern take on country house styling, the Visby armchair features low scrolled arms for a spacious open feel. The seat cushion is enticingly plump with feather and foam fill. A matching scatter cushion adds extra comfort and carved oak legs enhance the elegant lines. The Visby range also includes a two seater and a three seater sofa, a loveseat and an ottoman. I’m a fan of this armchair for its relaxed, roomy feel and the subtle texture of the sand-herringbone fabric - it adds just enough interest without shouting. Its turned legs and soft curves work brilliantly in Scandi-inspired or modern country schemes, and the neutral tone means it’ll slot straight into a coastal or laid-back contemporary sitting room. To style, drape a knitted throw over one arm and add a couple of cushions in muted greens or greys for a soft contrast. Position it beside a low side table and a table lamp to create a reading nook, or float it in front of a large window to make the most of natural light. The loose-cover cushions are easy to remove for cleaning, so it’s practical as well as comfortable.
