I’m a fan of this rustic console because its slim metal frame and weathered-wood shelves strike the right balance between sturdy storage and pared-back style. It slips neatly behind a sofa or into a hallway without overwhelming the space, and the three tiers give you plenty of room for baskets, books or display pieces while keeping surfaces clutter-free.
It suits industrial, farmhouse or Scandinavian schemes - basically anywhere you need a touch of warmth and texture. To style it, group a pair of matching baskets on the lower shelf for concealed storage, layer coffee-table books and a small plant on the middle tier, then finish with a candlestick or a slim lamp on top. A mirror or a framed print hung above will anchor the look and make the area feel pulled together.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores".
