A reproduction from Vincent Van Gogh's 'Irises' series, made in 1889 in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France. The print is presented with a window mount in a museum-quality ash wood frame. Made in the UK, this fine art print is ready to hang on your wall. Vincent Van Gogh was born in Holland in 1853. In 1888 he settled in Arles in Provence, where he was visited by Gauguin and painted his now-famous series of 'Sunflowers'. In the following year, a nervous breakdown brought him to a sanatorium at Saint-Rémy. It was during this period that he executed 'A Wheatfield, with Cypresses'. The traumas of his life, documented in his letters, have tended to dominate and distort modern perceptions of his art but the appreciation of his craft as a Post-Impressionist painter continues to grow. Have you thought about wall hooks and fittings?
I love this print for its vibrant, lively colours and the way it brings a touch of nature indoors. It works particularly well in rooms with a relaxed or eclectic vibe, such as living areas with natural textures or kitchens that embrace colour. Practical styling tips include pairing it with neutral furniture to let the artwork stand out, or creating a gallery wall around it with other botanical or art-inspired pieces. The blue and green tones are versatile, making it easy to coordinate with soft furnishings, cushions, or rugs in similar shades. Overall, it’s a great statement piece that adds colour and artful interest without overwhelming the space.
