The contemporary dining table is defined by its striking flint-hued ceramic table top that rests upon a robust white powder-coated aluminium base. Furthermore, the nature of ceramic means it is highly scratch and heat resistant and it requires little cleaning as rain naturally cleanses the surface

I’m a fan of the Kodo dune table for its clean lines and sturdy steel frame finished in soft white - it instantly lifts a room without dominating it. It works particularly well in minimalist, Scandi-style or coastal schemes where light, neutral tones and natural textures take centre stage. For styling, keep the tabletop uncluttered: a simple ceramic vase with greenery or a pair of slim candleholders maintains the airy feel, while woven or rattan chairs add warmth and contrast. If you need extra colour, introduce soft linen placemats or a muted table runner.

Heal's is a well-known British furniture store with a history that spans over 200 years. It began in 1810 when John Harris Heal and his son started a business for feather products but soon moved into furniture.
By the 1900s, almost everyone in London knew Heal's for its great furniture. Interestingly, they were also among the first to sell electric lights in Britain. During World War II, their main store even helped by making parachutes for soldiers.
