Description

The Vince oak 2 door sideboard is a contemporary design with a mid-century influence, characterised by its slender turned legs and clean silhouette. Handle-less doors maintain its streamlined, retro appearance, while shelves provide ample storage within. The compact footprint and elegant legs of the Vince sideboard make it an ideal storage solution for smaller spaces. Part of the Vince furniture range and exclusive to Habitat, the sideboard is also available as a 3 door sideboard and in walnut.

Our Stylist Says

The Vince Oak sideboard offers a clean, minimalist look with its mid-century design, making it a versatile addition to various interiors. I love it for its understated elegance and natural wood finish, which works particularly well in Scandinavian, modern, or even eclectic spaces. It’s practical for storage in dining rooms, living rooms, or hallways, and pairs beautifully with brass or matte black accents to add warmth and contrast. Styling tips include keeping the top surface simple with a few contemporary accessories, or layering textured ceramics and greenery to soften the look. In compact spaces, its sleek profile helps avoid visual clutter while providing ample storage.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
