I’m a fan of the Villiers desk for its solid pine construction, generous surface and leather-effect inlay - it instantly adds warmth to a study or home office. It works particularly well in traditional, country or industrial-style interiors but can also contrast nicely against a more minimalist backdrop. To keep it looking sharp, group a slim brass desk lamp, a stack of leather-bound notebooks and a couple of ceramic pots for pens on one side, and leave the other side clear for work. Use the six drawers to hide cables, papers and tech, so the top stays uncluttered.
