I often reach for this A-frame ladder shelf when I need something sturdy yet unfussy outdoors - the natural acacia brings warmth without overpowering a verandah or balcony. Its slim 80 × 140 cm frame is ideal for filling a tight corner in a modern Scandi courtyard or a relaxed Mediterranean-style patio.
Styling-wise, I’d group plants in mixed pots (think terracotta, glazed ceramics and rattan) on the three tiers, keeping your heavier items low down for stability. A couple of lanterns or string lights on the middle shelf add evening ambience, while small herb pots up top make it practical as well as pretty. Regular rubbing with a clear wood oil will keep it looking sharp season after season.
