I’ve been using this oyster velvet bench by the window in everything from contemporary Scandi schemes to more traditional layouts - the crushed-velvet finish brings a subtle sheen without overwhelming the room. It doubles as discreet storage, so it’s perfect for tucking away throws or extra cushions.
For styling, layer a couple of contrast cushions (think deep teal or soft blush) and a slim faux-fur throw to add texture. Its neutral tone means you can pair it with dark timber floors or pale carpets alike, and it looks just as at home under a bay window as it does at the end of a bed.
