Natural History Museum x Dunelm. Extraordinary treasures can be found along the British coastline. A truly special environment, the shoreline is simply brimming with life both above and below the waves, but with the tide washing twice daily over the shore, it can be an unforgiving place to live. The creatures that reside here must adapt to an ever-changing environment - some have evolved hard outer shells to protect themselves, others such as starfish have developed hundreds of ‘tube feet’ to grip on tightly. From out of reach coastal cliffs and rocky islets teeming with seabirds to the rich and diverse underwater kelp forests that support a variety of marine species, there is incredible wildlife wherever you turn. Through our collection with the Natural History Museum, we want to celebrate the diversity of the UK’s incredible shorelines and highlight some of the threats impacting them and the species that reside there from rising ocean temperatures to acidity levels. © The Trustees of the Natural History Museum, London 2023. I love this seafoam roller blind for its calming colour and versatility; it adds a subtle pop of colour without overwhelming a space. It's particularly well-suited for cosy living rooms or bedrooms, where a soft, tranquil atmosphere is desired. When styling, pair it with natural textures like linen or wood for a relaxed look, and complement it with neutral tones or muted patterns to keep the space feeling harmonious. Practical tips include ensuring the blind is well-fitted to avoid light gaps and considering layering with sheer curtains for extra flexibility in controlling daylight. Overall, it’s a practical yet stylish choice that works well in a variety of interior styles, from Scandi to coastal themes.
