Description
Create a calm and comfortable atmosphere with these velvet blackout curtains. Made from 280gsm thick fabric, they naturally block 70 to 85% of incoming light without the use of chemical coatings. Ideal for bedrooms, living rooms, nurseries and home offices, they help create a more relaxing space for rest, work or everyday living. Designed to support year round comfort, the thermal insulated fabric helps retain warmth during colder months while reducing heat from outside in warmer weather. This can help maintain a pleasant indoor temperature and improve energy efficiency throughout the home. The soft velvet finish adds a touch of elegance with a smooth and luxurious feel that complements both modern and traditional interiors. Easy to care for, these curtains are machine washable on a cold gentle cycle and can be tumble dried on a low setting. No bleach or costly dry cleaning is required. Each panel features rust resistant eyelets for quick installation and includes matching tie backs for flexible light control and styling.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
