This luxury jewellery box does double duty as a sculptural object – a piece of sacred geometry worthy of any mantelpiece or dresser. It is named after the ancient Roman Marcus Terentius Varro who first recognized the genius of bees in creating hexagon-shaped honeycomb cells which ensured a compact structure with no wastage – meaning less wax was needed to construct the honeycomb. The meditative power of the honeycomb comes from its perfectly symmetrical mathematical pattern. A masterpiece of natural engineering. This hexagonal piece is made of solid recycled brass, giving it a luxurious weighty feel. The setting is genuine Malachite. The box has a luxurious velvet interior to keep your treasured jewellery safe.
