The Urbania candleholders are designed by Mette Bache and Barbara Bendix Becker for Kähler. The candleholders are made of ceramics and are all shaped as different houses with a modern expressions. The flickering light and the shadows, that are cast from the inside of the candleholders, create a beautiful effect and definitely bring a coziness to any room. The Urbania collection consists of five houses: an apartment house, a city house, a church, a pantheon and a basilica church. The candleholders are sold separately.
This candleholder has a striking architectural silhouette that brings a contemporary edge to many interior styles. I love its clean lines and understated look, making it versatile to complement both minimalist schemes and more eclectic setups. It works particularly well on console tables, shelves, or dining tables when paired with simple, neutral candles for a modern, yet cosy glow. For styling tips, consider grouping it with other textured or contrasting materials-like brass or wood-to add interest. Its monochrome palette allows it to easily slot into colour schemes without overpowering the overall look, and it’s especially effective in spaces with plenty of natural light or minimalist decor to really let its structure shine.
