The Urbania candleholders are designed by Mette Bache and Barbara Bendix Becker for Kähler. The candleholders are made of ceramics and are all shaped as different houses with a modern expressions. The flickering light and the shadows, that are cast from the inside of the candleholders, create a beautiful effect and definitely bring a coziness to any room. The Urbania collection consists of five houses: an apartment house, a city house, a church, a pantheon and a basilica church. The candleholders are sold separately.
This wee candleholder is a great example of modern, minimalist design. I love its architectural feel, which adds a subtle geometric interest without overwhelming the space. It works particularly well in contemporary or Scandinavian-inspired interiors, where clean lines and functional pieces are key. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with simple, understated candles or group it with other textured materials to create a layered look. It also looks fantastic on a shelf or sideboard as a standalone accent, or in a cluster for a more dramatic effect at dinner tables or side tables. Its neutral tone and structured form make it versatile and easy to adapt to various interior schemes.
