I’m a fan of this rustic merchant chest for its mix of reclaimed-style timber fronts and a slim metal frame - it brings just enough industrial edge without feeling heavy. It suits warehouse-style living rooms, modern farmhouses or even a pared-back Scandi scheme. Try grouping a low, sculptural lamp and a couple of potted succulents on top, and use the deep drawers to stow throws, games or home-office bits. In a hallway it works as an uncluttered drop-zone too; just add a slim runner rug and a wall mirror above to complete the look.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
