Description
An original abstract diptych that explores ideas of possibility and the future, or, as the artist describes it, an 'unwritten life, an empty page'. Ruth Philo's paintings explore abstractaction through colour, light and surface, often drawing inspiration from the artist's everyday life. She mixes materials from pigments to things picked up on her travels on a variety of surfaces such as canvas, linen and wooden panels.
Our Stylist Says
I love this piece because it offers a striking yet understated focal point that can suit a range of interiors. Its neutral tones and subtle texture make it versatile, working well in minimalist, Scandinavian, or even more layered, eclectic spaces. For styling, I’d recommend placing it on a plain or softly coloured wall, ideally paired with natural materials like wood or stone to complement its calm aesthetic. It’s a great option for above a sofa or console table, and layering with smaller art or decor pieces can really make it stand out without overwhelming the space.

Soho Home's journey began from a simple love for their unique designs. The brand's inception was sparked by guests' desires to take a piece of Soho Houses with them, cherishing their favourite items from these comforting spaces.
This led to the birth of Soho Home in 2016 with their Barwell crystal glassware. Fast forward, the brand has expanded beyond just a few staples, encompassing a wide array of interior items ranging from furniture and tableware to home fragrances and textiles.
