The Unify collection is a set of tables and benches, composed of oak-veneered MDF tops and solid legs made of large steel tubes with soft, rounded profiles. This collection of tables is a nod to the refectory tables from the 90s still found in schools. These tables display a mixture of joyful intensity and remarkable sobriety. Swedish designer Anne Harvala set about demonstrating the notion of balance, playing with proportions. The size of the leg varies proportionally depending on the top for the tables and the size of the seat for the benches. The details are treated with meticulousness, in particular the curvature of the legs. The welds of the latter at right angles are invisible, a real technical feat. Petite Friture is once again positioning itself as a talent scout. Unify is indeed Anne Harvala's graduation project, as was the now cult Vertigo pendant for Constance Guisset.
I love this dining table because of its clean, understated design and versatile size, making it a great centrepiece in a range of interiors. The oak finish brings warmth and timeless appeal, while its grey surface adds a contemporary touch. It works well in both modern and Scandinavian-inspired spaces, especially when paired with upholstered chairs for a cosy feel or sleek metal ones for a more minimalist aesthetic. Practical styling tips include layering with different textured placemats, bowls, and centrepieces to add personality, and using the sturdy shape to accommodate gatherings or family dinners comfortably. Its simple yet elegant design ensures it can adapt to future style updates, making it a smart choice for those looking for longevity and style.
