Umbra's Triflora planter is ideal for creating a home herb garden or displaying a trio of succulents and other indoor plants. This contemporary space-saving design beautifully combines a functional drapery rod with the greenery of potted plants. Mount on a wall or ceiling, perhaps above a window. The length of the ropes are adjustable in height and also slide along the metal rod to suit your display and space. The durable melamine pots can hold standard three-inch (7.5cm) diameter pots, so there’s no need for re-potting. Designed and created by Dayna Mailach and Chris Snell for Umbra, the Triflora won the Best In Show winner at the 2019 IHA (International Housewares Show).
I really like this hanging planter because of its modern, minimalist design and versatile white finish, which makes it easy to incorporate into a variety of interiors. It works well in contemporary and Scandi-inspired spaces, particularly in kitchens, bathrooms, or even on patios where it can add a touch of greenery without clutter. For styling, consider grouping a few different plants with varying heights, or pairing the hanging trio with wall-mounted plants to create a lush, layered look. It's also great for small spaces, as it maximises vertical room while keeping surfaces clear. Practical tip: choose trailing or low-maintenance plants like pothos or succulents to get the most impact with minimal fuss.
