Two boats beached at low tide mimic the two high and dry cottages ashore in Ulyana Hammond's serene seascape, which features a cool, calm palette of greys, greens, earthy browns and salmon pinks. Polyurethane framed and glazed raised image print with white mount. Ulyana Hammond was born in 1981 in St Petersburg, one of the most beautiful cities in Russia, known for its outstanding architecture. These wonderful surroundings were a great source of inspiration to her as she grew up to appreciate the historical riches around her. While studying traditional art and sculpture at university, Ulyana spent many hours sketching and perfecting her art, discovering this rewarding outlet for her passion of painting contrasting shape and colours. Returning to St Peterburg to see family, the trip brought all her childhood memories flooding back. This beautiful city continues to influence her work. Have you thought about hooks and fittings?
I love this seaside-inspired piece for its calming blue tones and simple, understated frame, making it adaptable for many interiors. It works particularly well in coastal, Scandinavian, or minimalist schemes where it can introduce a splash of colour without overwhelming the space. For styling, consider pairing it with neutral accessories like linen cushions or light wood furniture to enhance its relaxed vibe. Placing it above a sofa or bed creates a focal point that instantly softens and personalises a room. To keep the look cohesive, group it with other calming art or photographs - this print’s serene palette makes it a versatile choice across living rooms, bedrooms, or even hallways.
