Our Stylist Says
I love these black velvet blackout curtains for their sleek, sophisticated look and functional benefits. The mocha shade adds warmth and works well in both modern and traditional interiors, especially when paired with neutral tones or richer colour palettes. The full blackout feature is practical for bedrooms or media rooms, effectively blocking out light for better sleep or to reduce glare. Styling tip: Hang them using simple hardware to keep the clean lines, and consider layering with lighter drapes or sheers for added versatility and texture. These curtains are especially ideal in contemporary spaces but also work well in classic or eclectic schemes where a touch of understated elegance is desired.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
