Coming straight from a watercolour palette, Two-Colour tables sport a blend of joyous intensity, remarkable restraint, poetry and geometry. Like all furniture by Muller Van Severen, Two-Colour tables combine rigorous, strict lines with bright, daring colour combinations. The lacquered steel base is combined with a Valchromat MDF top: a panel of self-coloured wood fibres. The fibres are impregnated with organic dyes and chemically bonded together with a special resin. Two-Colour tables are available in a very rich chromatic palette. The creative duo Muller Van Severen see colour as a material: they have carefully selected the different combinations of contrasting colours. This multiplicity of colours gives a fun look to the Two-Colour table, allowing it to adapt to any environment or setting. The colours of the table really determine the feel of the space: exuberance or sobriety, you can create a really fun or rather serious environment to design your own "colour landscape". Known as Muller Van Severen, the Flemish design duo Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen work at the intersection of art and design. They are among the most prominent creators of the moment, acclaimed by galleries, museums, collectors, design enthusiasts and design houses. In less than a decade, Muller Van Severen has become a key player in design, to the point of winning numerous awards and increasing collaborations with prestigious museums (Pompidou Centre, Vitra Museum, etc. ).
The Two-Colour Rectangular table is a versatile addition that works well in contemporary and eclectic interiors alike. I love the bold colour choice paired with the understated MDF Valchromat®-it adds a focused pop of colour without overwhelming the space. It’s perfect for kitchens or dining rooms needing a modern edge, and the clean lines can be styled with minimal accessories or layered with textured textiles for warmth. Practical tips include pairing it with sleek, modern chairs to highlight its minimalist aesthetic, and for wider spaces, consider adding a runner or statement centrepiece for visual interest. Because of its substantial size, it functions equally well in open-plan settings or more intimate dining areas, making it adaptable across different interior styles.
