Considered one of the great icons of design, Eero Saarinen's multi award-winning Tulip Swivel Stool is characterised by the reduction of its support to a single stem and its distinctive Ultrasuede upholstery. Designed in 1957 as part of the famous Pedestal collection that vowed to address the 'ugly, confusing, unrestful world' underneath tables and tables, the Tulip Swivel Stool consists of a sweeping swivel base of die-cast aluminium lacquered in black and is coated with a protective Rilsan finish. The simple stem base is accented with a removable foam seat pad, upholstered in Knoll's premium Ultrasuede fabric: a soft, plush material that is the first of its kind to use a partially plant-based polyester. A truly iconic design by Eero Saarinen, the Tulip Swivel Stool is unmistakably part of the renowned Tulip collection and is sure to accent any space with modernity and style.
