A 1930s-inspired contemporary piece, the TS table (short for 'The Standard') was originally created to furnish the famous restaurant of the same name in Copenhagen. Constructed in 1937, this building is a perfect example of Art Deco architecture. The top of the TS table is in Emperador grey marble. The varnished steel tubular base is both geometric and graphic. The modernity of the base contrasts wonderfully with the refined, classic style of its veined grey marble top. This table will fit equally well into very modern and more traditional interiors. An exceptional piece! The Gamfratesi studio was created by Danish designer Stine Gam and Italian designer Enrico Fratesi. Their work combines different influences, from classic Italian Design to Scandinavian traditions. MAINTENANCE. Marble is a fragile stone, sensitive to stains and requiring special care. Clean stains immediately with soapy water, then wipe with a dry cloth. Never use acid or chemical products.
This coffee table is a great statement piece for both contemporary and minimalist interiors, thanks to its striking marble top and sleek black base. I love how the natural veining of the marble adds texture and sophistication, making it versatile enough to work with neutral tones or bold colour schemes. It’s particularly well-suited for open-plan living areas or sophisticated lounge spaces. For styling, try layering with tactile accessories like textured books, vases, or small plants to add warmth and personality. Keep the surrounding decor simple to let the marble shine, and consider pairing it with either modern or vintage seating to create a balanced, curated look.
