I’m a fan of this little shoe bench for its clean lines and dual-tone palette - the light mocha shell softens the look while the anthracite fronts add subtle contrast. It works equally well in a Scandi-inspired hallway or a pared-back, contemporary flat. The two open shelves keep your everyday pairs on display and within reach, while the enclosed cubbies hide trainers or off-season boots.
Styling tip: top with a slim tray for keys and post, then hang a frameless mirror above to bounce light around a narrow entrance. Pair with matte-black wall hooks or a woven basket on the lower shelf to reinforce the organised, calm vibe.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
