The Tristan floor lamp is a simplistic take on the tripod design and is finished in brass for a retro vibe. The white shade gives a softer touch to this floor lamp, creating a more relaxing ambient glow. Ideal for a reading nook or as a statement piece in the bedroom, this floor lamp is sure to be a brilliant addition to your home.
Our Stylist Says
I love the Tristan Tripod Floor Lamp for its sleek, minimalist design paired with a warm brass finish that adds a touch of sophistication. It works particularly well in contemporary or mid-century interiors, where its clean lines can complement both neutral palettes and richer, textured environments. Practical styling tips include placing it next to a neutral sofa to soften a lounge or use it as an elegant reading light in a cosy corner. Its tripod base adds stability and visual interest, making it a versatile choice that can help define zones within an open-plan space while keeping the look uncluttered.

About BHS.com
Historical Roots
British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.
Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.
Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!
Expansion and Evolution
BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.
They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
