I’m a fan of the Trieste table for its clean marble-effect top and simple metal base - it instantly lifts a living space without feeling overbearing. The neutral veining works well in Scandi or contemporary schemes and can even add a refined edge to more industrial or eclectic rooms. For styling, keep about a third of the surface clear to let the ‘stone’ really show. Anchor a small stack of books or a tray on one side, add a single stem in a slim vase and perhaps a low bowl for everyday bits. The hardwearing finish also makes it ideal for busy family homes or as a landing spot for a mid-week coffee and magazine.

Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
