Description

A modern round side table, with a glossy black base and a stone top made of colourful marble mined from the Shandong and Fujian provinces of China. The pattern of the natural marble is due to the crustal movement changes in the process of lava extrusion, developed over millions of years.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a big fan of the Stone circle table for its bold terrazzo top and clean, slim pedestal base - it instantly lifts a living area without overwhelming the space. The dark tones and flecked stone work especially well in modern, industrial or minimalist schemes where you want a statement piece that still reads as functional. To style it, keep accessories low-slung: a pair of sculptural vases in muted ceramics, a stack of coffee-table books and perhaps a single metallic tray echoing the base finish. Surround it with low seating - think a streamlined sofa in wool or leather - and layer in a textured rug to balance the table’s smooth surface.

About Tom Dixon

Established in 2002, Tom Dixon is a British luxury design brand offering contemporary lighting, furniture, and accessories. Their innovative designs are perfect for those looking to make a unique, modern statement in their home.

From Bass Guitar to Design Guru

Tom Dixon isn't your typical designer. Starting as the bass guitarist for Funkapolitan, a twist of fate led him to the world of design after a series of motorbike accidents.

By the 1980s, he was gaining recognition with pieces like the iconic "S' chair for Italian giant Cappellini. By the 90s, his creativity brought him to the forefront of British design, even rejuvenating the Habitat brand.

But it wasn't until 2002 that the Tom Dixon brand was established, with its base in London's King's Cross. The brand, known for pioneering lighting, furniture, and accessories, quickly gained international acclaim and is now represented in 90 countries.

Master of Materials

Tom Dixon's genius lies in his ability to reimagine ordinary materials. From the early days, he transformed found objects and industrial materials into art.

Whether it's the allure of copper, the shine of stainless steel, the imperfections in hand-beaten brass, or the timeless nature of stone, Tom Dixon products always have a unique touch.

His signature products, from the Melt pendant inspired by molten glass to the instantly recognizable Beat, S Chair, and Wingback, can be found in museums like the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and MOMA in New York.

More Than Just Products

Tom Dixon's impact isn't limited to individual items. In 2007, he launched Design Research Studio, which has since redefined spaces around the world.

From the Drugstore Brasserie in Paris to reimagining the modern cruise experience for Virgin Voyages, his design agency creates immersive environments.
