Description

A play on our original Stone Spice Grinder, Stone Pendant is carved from white Morwad marble. This hard, semi-precious surface has transfixed architects, sculptors and designers for millennia. It is the dream material - tough yet tactile, heavy and long-lasting with individual personality.

Our Stylist Says

I love this light for its sleek, sculptural presence-it works particularly well in contemporary and minimalist spaces where it acts as a statement piece. The natural stone finish adds a touch of tactile elegance, making it versatile enough to complement both neutral schemes and textured environments. Practical styling tips include hanging it over dining tables or in kitchens where its warm glow can really enhance the atmosphere. Pair it with other brass accents for a cohesive look, or keep it as a focal point in a clean-lined room for a modern edge. Its understated yet sophisticated design ensures it remains timeless and adaptable across different interior styles.

About Tom Dixon

Established in 2002, Tom Dixon is a British luxury design brand offering contemporary lighting, furniture, and accessories. Their innovative designs are perfect for those looking to make a unique, modern statement in their home.

From Bass Guitar to Design Guru

Tom Dixon isn't your typical designer. Starting as the bass guitarist for Funkapolitan, a twist of fate led him to the world of design after a series of motorbike accidents.

By the 1980s, he was gaining recognition with pieces like the iconic "S' chair for Italian giant Cappellini. By the 90s, his creativity brought him to the forefront of British design, even rejuvenating the Habitat brand.

But it wasn't until 2002 that the Tom Dixon brand was established, with its base in London's King's Cross. The brand, known for pioneering lighting, furniture, and accessories, quickly gained international acclaim and is now represented in 90 countries.

Master of Materials

Tom Dixon's genius lies in his ability to reimagine ordinary materials. From the early days, he transformed found objects and industrial materials into art.

Whether it's the allure of copper, the shine of stainless steel, the imperfections in hand-beaten brass, or the timeless nature of stone, Tom Dixon products always have a unique touch.

His signature products, from the Melt pendant inspired by molten glass to the instantly recognizable Beat, S Chair, and Wingback, can be found in museums like the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and MOMA in New York.

More Than Just Products

Tom Dixon's impact isn't limited to individual items. In 2007, he launched Design Research Studio, which has since redefined spaces around the world.

From the Drugstore Brasserie in Paris to reimagining the modern cruise experience for Virgin Voyages, his design agency creates immersive environments.
