Description

Spring is a series of lights made up of stainless steel SPRING SURFACE BRASS LED strips. Pliant ribbons of stainless steel have been arranged like a whisk around our custom-made dimmable Tom Dixon LED disc. The semi-transparent shape thus created can be adjusted to a variety of silhouettes - from a flat arrangement reminiscent of a spirograph drawing, to a flying saucer configuration, and on to a fuller shape akin to a pumpkin.

Our Stylist Says

I love this wall light for its striking, sculptural design and warm brass finish, which easily adds a touch of contemporary sophistication to various interiors. It works particularly well in modern or eclectic spaces, where its geometric pattern can serve as both a lighting feature and a statement piece. For styling, consider placing it in a hallway or above a console table to draw attention without overpowering the surroundings. Practical tips include pairing it with warm-toned bulbs to enhance the brass glow or combining it with similar finishes for a cohesive look. Its eye-catching form makes it equally effective as a standalone focal point or part of a layered lighting scheme.

About Tom Dixon

Established in 2002, Tom Dixon is a British luxury design brand offering contemporary lighting, furniture, and accessories. Their innovative designs are perfect for those looking to make a unique, modern statement in their home.

From Bass Guitar to Design Guru

Tom Dixon isn't your typical designer. Starting as the bass guitarist for Funkapolitan, a twist of fate led him to the world of design after a series of motorbike accidents.

By the 1980s, he was gaining recognition with pieces like the iconic "S' chair for Italian giant Cappellini. By the 90s, his creativity brought him to the forefront of British design, even rejuvenating the Habitat brand.

But it wasn't until 2002 that the Tom Dixon brand was established, with its base in London's King's Cross. The brand, known for pioneering lighting, furniture, and accessories, quickly gained international acclaim and is now represented in 90 countries.

Master of Materials

Tom Dixon's genius lies in his ability to reimagine ordinary materials. From the early days, he transformed found objects and industrial materials into art.

Whether it's the allure of copper, the shine of stainless steel, the imperfections in hand-beaten brass, or the timeless nature of stone, Tom Dixon products always have a unique touch.

His signature products, from the Melt pendant inspired by molten glass to the instantly recognizable Beat, S Chair, and Wingback, can be found in museums like the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and MOMA in New York.

More Than Just Products

Tom Dixon's impact isn't limited to individual items. In 2007, he launched Design Research Studio, which has since redefined spaces around the world.

From the Drugstore Brasserie in Paris to reimagining the modern cruise experience for Virgin Voyages, his design agency creates immersive environments.
