Description

Inspired by the materials and processes employed during the Industrial Revolution, Screw is made from a cast iron tripod base, updated with a wider footprint for added stability. The thread, now in steel, allows for multiple heights by simply spinning the top.

Our Stylist Says

The screw stool is a modern classic that works really well in contemporary and eclectic interiors, particularly those with a minimal or industrial vibe. I love how its distinctive, industrial-inspired design adds visual interest without overwhelming a space. It’s versatile enough to be used as extra seating in a living area or as a statement piece in a breakfast nook. For styling tips, consider pairing a few of these stools with marble or dark stone tables to highlight their sleek surfaces, or use them alongside vintage furnishings to create a mixed-material look. They’re also practical for smaller spaces, as their compact size makes them easy to reposition when needed.

About Tom Dixon

Established in 2002, Tom Dixon is a British luxury design brand offering contemporary lighting, furniture, and accessories. Their innovative designs are perfect for those looking to make a unique, modern statement in their home.

From Bass Guitar to Design Guru

Tom Dixon isn't your typical designer. Starting as the bass guitarist for Funkapolitan, a twist of fate led him to the world of design after a series of motorbike accidents.

By the 1980s, he was gaining recognition with pieces like the iconic "S' chair for Italian giant Cappellini. By the 90s, his creativity brought him to the forefront of British design, even rejuvenating the Habitat brand.

But it wasn't until 2002 that the Tom Dixon brand was established, with its base in London's King's Cross. The brand, known for pioneering lighting, furniture, and accessories, quickly gained international acclaim and is now represented in 90 countries.

Master of Materials

Tom Dixon's genius lies in his ability to reimagine ordinary materials. From the early days, he transformed found objects and industrial materials into art.

Whether it's the allure of copper, the shine of stainless steel, the imperfections in hand-beaten brass, or the timeless nature of stone, Tom Dixon products always have a unique touch.

His signature products, from the Melt pendant inspired by molten glass to the instantly recognizable Beat, S Chair, and Wingback, can be found in museums like the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and MOMA in New York.

More Than Just Products

Tom Dixon's impact isn't limited to individual items. In 2007, he launched Design Research Studio, which has since redefined spaces around the world.

From the Drugstore Brasserie in Paris to reimagining the modern cruise experience for Virgin Voyages, his design agency creates immersive environments.
