Description

A stunning contemporary pendant light made of the thickest industrially pressed glass. Designed and engineered to catch and refract light, and to last for ever. The ribbed glass creates diffusion of the light source and projects linear and stripy patterns. Press pendant Sphere is designed to be clustered and hung in multiples or as a single pendant for a chic statement in lighting. This product is IP45 rated. It can be used indoors and outdoors. Gloves provided to maintain fingerprint free appearance. Press pendants have a unique pressed glass ceiling rose, which is a beautiful decorative detail. The tiny bubbles in the glass are a celebration of how the products are made and naturally appear when the glass is hand-pressed.

Our Stylist Says

I love this tube pendant for its sleek, modern silhouette that adds a touch of refined minimalism to any space. Its clear glass design allows it to effortlessly complement both contemporary and vintage interiors, especially when paired with exposed bulbs or statement filament lamps. It works particularly well in open-plan kitchens, dining areas, or hallways where it can create a focal point with its clean lines. For practical styling, consider hanging it at varying heights for visual interest or pairing it with other pendants in different sizes for a layered look. This piece is versatile enough to suit both understated and bold interior schemes, making it a true design asset.

About Tom Dixon

Established in 2002, Tom Dixon is a British luxury design brand offering contemporary lighting, furniture, and accessories. Their innovative designs are perfect for those looking to make a unique, modern statement in their home.

From Bass Guitar to Design Guru

Tom Dixon isn't your typical designer. Starting as the bass guitarist for Funkapolitan, a twist of fate led him to the world of design after a series of motorbike accidents.

By the 1980s, he was gaining recognition with pieces like the iconic "S' chair for Italian giant Cappellini. By the 90s, his creativity brought him to the forefront of British design, even rejuvenating the Habitat brand.

But it wasn't until 2002 that the Tom Dixon brand was established, with its base in London's King's Cross. The brand, known for pioneering lighting, furniture, and accessories, quickly gained international acclaim and is now represented in 90 countries.

Master of Materials

Tom Dixon's genius lies in his ability to reimagine ordinary materials. From the early days, he transformed found objects and industrial materials into art.

Whether it's the allure of copper, the shine of stainless steel, the imperfections in hand-beaten brass, or the timeless nature of stone, Tom Dixon products always have a unique touch.

His signature products, from the Melt pendant inspired by molten glass to the instantly recognizable Beat, S Chair, and Wingback, can be found in museums like the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and MOMA in New York.

More Than Just Products

Tom Dixon's impact isn't limited to individual items. In 2007, he launched Design Research Studio, which has since redefined spaces around the world.

From the Drugstore Brasserie in Paris to reimagining the modern cruise experience for Virgin Voyages, his design agency creates immersive environments.
