Description

The Micro Wingback is our much appreciated armchair and sofa on an Alice in Wonderland shrinking potion. Re-scaled for the home and our increasingly confined spaces. The collection is available in a wide range of colours and Kvadrat fabrics.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Tom Dixon wingback for its contemporary take on a classic silhouette. Its sleek, rounded shape makes it a versatile statement piece that can suit both modern and eclectic interiors. It works particularly well in cosy reading nooks or as an accent in a lounge, bringing a touch of sculptural elegance without overwhelming the space. For styling tips, consider pairing it with softer textiles or layered with textured cushions to add comfort and visual interest. Its understated colour and natural timber legs make it easy to mix with a variety of colour schemes and materials, making it a practical yet stylish choice for adding personality to any room.

About Tom Dixon

Established in 2002, Tom Dixon is a British luxury design brand offering contemporary lighting, furniture, and accessories. Their innovative designs are perfect for those looking to make a unique, modern statement in their home.

From Bass Guitar to Design Guru

Tom Dixon isn't your typical designer. Starting as the bass guitarist for Funkapolitan, a twist of fate led him to the world of design after a series of motorbike accidents.

By the 1980s, he was gaining recognition with pieces like the iconic "S' chair for Italian giant Cappellini. By the 90s, his creativity brought him to the forefront of British design, even rejuvenating the Habitat brand.

But it wasn't until 2002 that the Tom Dixon brand was established, with its base in London's King's Cross. The brand, known for pioneering lighting, furniture, and accessories, quickly gained international acclaim and is now represented in 90 countries.

Master of Materials

Tom Dixon's genius lies in his ability to reimagine ordinary materials. From the early days, he transformed found objects and industrial materials into art.

Whether it's the allure of copper, the shine of stainless steel, the imperfections in hand-beaten brass, or the timeless nature of stone, Tom Dixon products always have a unique touch.

His signature products, from the Melt pendant inspired by molten glass to the instantly recognizable Beat, S Chair, and Wingback, can be found in museums like the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and MOMA in New York.

More Than Just Products

Tom Dixon's impact isn't limited to individual items. In 2007, he launched Design Research Studio, which has since redefined spaces around the world.

From the Drugstore Brasserie in Paris to reimagining the modern cruise experience for Virgin Voyages, his design agency creates immersive environments.
