Description

A swarm, huddle, herd, cluster or bunch; there are a thousand ways of configuring our lamps to produce an extraordinary lighting arrangement. The latest additions to the Melt family include the Melt Small Chandelier featuring four orbs protruding from steel tubes and measuring one metre high. Fitted with our new LED module, our Melt Chandeliers are our attempt to rethink the contemporary chandelier.

Our Stylist Says

This tiny chandelier is a real statement piece - its molten glass design adds a contemporary edge to both modern and eclectic interiors. I love how versatile it is; it works particularly well in minimalist schemes, adding a sculptural focal point without overwhelming the space. When styling with it, consider placing over a dining table or in a high-ceilinged living area to maximise its impact. For a polished look, pair it with neutral colours and clean lines, or contrast it with richer textures and colours for a more layered aesthetic. To keep the visual impact clean, avoid cluttering the surrounding area and ensure the light source complements its sleek, modern silhouette.

About Tom Dixon

Established in 2002, Tom Dixon is a British luxury design brand offering contemporary lighting, furniture, and accessories. Their innovative designs are perfect for those looking to make a unique, modern statement in their home.

From Bass Guitar to Design Guru

Tom Dixon isn't your typical designer. Starting as the bass guitarist for Funkapolitan, a twist of fate led him to the world of design after a series of motorbike accidents.

By the 1980s, he was gaining recognition with pieces like the iconic "S' chair for Italian giant Cappellini. By the 90s, his creativity brought him to the forefront of British design, even rejuvenating the Habitat brand.

But it wasn't until 2002 that the Tom Dixon brand was established, with its base in London's King's Cross. The brand, known for pioneering lighting, furniture, and accessories, quickly gained international acclaim and is now represented in 90 countries.

Master of Materials

Tom Dixon's genius lies in his ability to reimagine ordinary materials. From the early days, he transformed found objects and industrial materials into art.

Whether it's the allure of copper, the shine of stainless steel, the imperfections in hand-beaten brass, or the timeless nature of stone, Tom Dixon products always have a unique touch.

His signature products, from the Melt pendant inspired by molten glass to the instantly recognizable Beat, S Chair, and Wingback, can be found in museums like the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and MOMA in New York.

More Than Just Products

Tom Dixon's impact isn't limited to individual items. In 2007, he launched Design Research Studio, which has since redefined spaces around the world.

From the Drugstore Brasserie in Paris to reimagining the modern cruise experience for Virgin Voyages, his design agency creates immersive environments.
