Description

In our perpetual quest for the purest forms, Globe stands out as the most minimal of the lot. The spherical orb shade, highly mirrored and perfectly reflective, reveals a multiplicity of internal reflections from the integral LED when switched on. The archetypical silhouette allows for use in any space. The Globe family includes pendants, chandeliers, surface lights and pendant systems.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Tom Dixon globe pendant trio for its clean, modern aesthetic and versatile appeal. The silver finish adds a sleek, contemporary touch that works particularly well in minimalist and industrial-inspired interiors, but it can also elevate more eclectic spaces when paired with warmer tones or textured materials. Practical styling tips include hanging these pendants at different heights to create visual interest over dining tables or kitchen islands, and pairing them with understated furniture to let the lighting feature shine. Their versatile design makes them suitable for living rooms, bedrooms, or even commercial spaces where a hint of refined cool is desired.

About Tom Dixon

Established in 2002, Tom Dixon is a British luxury design brand offering contemporary lighting, furniture, and accessories. Their innovative designs are perfect for those looking to make a unique, modern statement in their home.

From Bass Guitar to Design Guru

Tom Dixon isn't your typical designer. Starting as the bass guitarist for Funkapolitan, a twist of fate led him to the world of design after a series of motorbike accidents.

By the 1980s, he was gaining recognition with pieces like the iconic "S' chair for Italian giant Cappellini. By the 90s, his creativity brought him to the forefront of British design, even rejuvenating the Habitat brand.

But it wasn't until 2002 that the Tom Dixon brand was established, with its base in London's King's Cross. The brand, known for pioneering lighting, furniture, and accessories, quickly gained international acclaim and is now represented in 90 countries.

Master of Materials

Tom Dixon's genius lies in his ability to reimagine ordinary materials. From the early days, he transformed found objects and industrial materials into art.

Whether it's the allure of copper, the shine of stainless steel, the imperfections in hand-beaten brass, or the timeless nature of stone, Tom Dixon products always have a unique touch.

His signature products, from the Melt pendant inspired by molten glass to the instantly recognizable Beat, S Chair, and Wingback, can be found in museums like the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and MOMA in New York.

More Than Just Products

Tom Dixon's impact isn't limited to individual items. In 2007, he launched Design Research Studio, which has since redefined spaces around the world.

From the Drugstore Brasserie in Paris to reimagining the modern cruise experience for Virgin Voyages, his design agency creates immersive environments.
