Description
Globe is a large translucent ceiling light with a minimal matte black ceiling rose. Made using a high tech manufacturing technique in Germany and designed using our own recipe of opalescent polycarbonate, which results in a satisfyingly ethereal orb. Coupled with our new Tom Dixon LED, the shatter proof Globe pendant emits a soft, diffused and flattering light.

I’m a fan of the opalescent globe pendant for its clean, understated silhouette and soft, diffused glow - it makes a practical focal point without overwhelming a space. It sits equally well over a kitchen island in a contemporary loft or above a dining table in a pared-back Scandinavian interior.
To style it, hang a single around eye-level above a small breakfast nook, or cluster three at varying heights over a long table. Pair with muted tones and natural materials - think pale timber, concrete surfaces or marble countertops - and add a few brass or black-iron accents to pick up on the pendant’s metal detailing.

Tom Dixon isn't your typical designer. Starting as the bass guitarist for Funkapolitan, a twist of fate led him to the world of design after a series of motorbike accidents.
