Description

Globe Chandelier Large features seven spherical Globe shades protruding from steel tubes. The shades are designed into a fixed configuration with a single point construction. Featuring our integrated LED module, the spherical orbs are highly mirrored and perfectly reflective during the day, and when switched on reveals a multiplicity of internal reflections.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of this globe chandelier for its clean lines and soft, diffused glow - the opal glass spheres paired with slender brass arms feel both modern and surprisingly versatile. It works brilliantly in a minimalist setting, adding sculptural impact without overwhelming a neutral palette, but equally well in a mid-century or industrial-inspired space. For practical styling, position it over a dining table or kitchen island so the soft LED light highlights the surface below. Keep surrounding furnishings simple - think low-profile seating or a streamlined sideboard - to let the form speak for itself. Make sure you have at least 2.3 m of clearance underneath, then balance with textured rugs or cushions to warm up the overall look.

About Tom Dixon

Established in 2002, Tom Dixon is a British luxury design brand offering contemporary lighting, furniture, and accessories. Their innovative designs are perfect for those looking to make a unique, modern statement in their home.

From Bass Guitar to Design Guru

Tom Dixon isn't your typical designer. Starting as the bass guitarist for Funkapolitan, a twist of fate led him to the world of design after a series of motorbike accidents.

By the 1980s, he was gaining recognition with pieces like the iconic "S' chair for Italian giant Cappellini. By the 90s, his creativity brought him to the forefront of British design, even rejuvenating the Habitat brand.

But it wasn't until 2002 that the Tom Dixon brand was established, with its base in London's King's Cross. The brand, known for pioneering lighting, furniture, and accessories, quickly gained international acclaim and is now represented in 90 countries.

Master of Materials

Tom Dixon's genius lies in his ability to reimagine ordinary materials. From the early days, he transformed found objects and industrial materials into art.

Whether it's the allure of copper, the shine of stainless steel, the imperfections in hand-beaten brass, or the timeless nature of stone, Tom Dixon products always have a unique touch.

His signature products, from the Melt pendant inspired by molten glass to the instantly recognizable Beat, S Chair, and Wingback, can be found in museums like the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and MOMA in New York.

More Than Just Products

Tom Dixon's impact isn't limited to individual items. In 2007, he launched Design Research Studio, which has since redefined spaces around the world.

From the Drugstore Brasserie in Paris to reimagining the modern cruise experience for Virgin Voyages, his design agency creates immersive environments.
