Description

Fan is a modern take on the classical Windsor design. The round table is a British archetype converted to a contemporary silhouette, creating an exclamation mark in any space with a semi transparent structure that takes up minimal visual mass. Featuring a natural wooden base and a versatile and hardwearing round top in pebble marble.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a big fan of this Fan side table - the sculptural oak ‘cage’ base paired with the pebble marble top adds texture without overwhelming a scheme. At 600 mm across it’s just the right size for a sofa side or a cosy reading nook, and the natural tones work as a neutral backdrop. It suits Scandi, modern-minimal or even transitional interiors - simply style with one or two objects (think a slim lamp, a small vase or a neat stack of books) so the marble surface remains the star. The mix of wood and stone also plays well against soft textiles and greenery.

About Tom Dixon

Established in 2002, Tom Dixon is a British luxury design brand offering contemporary lighting, furniture, and accessories. Their innovative designs are perfect for those looking to make a unique, modern statement in their home.

From Bass Guitar to Design Guru

Tom Dixon isn't your typical designer. Starting as the bass guitarist for Funkapolitan, a twist of fate led him to the world of design after a series of motorbike accidents.

By the 1980s, he was gaining recognition with pieces like the iconic "S' chair for Italian giant Cappellini. By the 90s, his creativity brought him to the forefront of British design, even rejuvenating the Habitat brand.

But it wasn't until 2002 that the Tom Dixon brand was established, with its base in London's King's Cross. The brand, known for pioneering lighting, furniture, and accessories, quickly gained international acclaim and is now represented in 90 countries.

Master of Materials

Tom Dixon's genius lies in his ability to reimagine ordinary materials. From the early days, he transformed found objects and industrial materials into art.

Whether it's the allure of copper, the shine of stainless steel, the imperfections in hand-beaten brass, or the timeless nature of stone, Tom Dixon products always have a unique touch.

His signature products, from the Melt pendant inspired by molten glass to the instantly recognizable Beat, S Chair, and Wingback, can be found in museums like the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and MOMA in New York.

More Than Just Products

Tom Dixon's impact isn't limited to individual items. In 2007, he launched Design Research Studio, which has since redefined spaces around the world.

From the Drugstore Brasserie in Paris to reimagining the modern cruise experience for Virgin Voyages, his design agency creates immersive environments.
