Description

Originally a dramatic and sculptural take on a British design classic, Fan is available as a high back chair, dining chair, stool and table. The stools and chairs have a black leather seat pad, while the chairs feature a curved back, offering support and comfort. Available in a Black Birch or Natural Oak base and Black Oak, Fumed Oak, Natural Oak, Natural Birch, White and Green Marble table tops.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a big fan of the Fan table for its blend of simplicity and sculptural interest - the black metal “fans” give an airy feel, while the white marble top keeps things looking crisp. It sits beautifully in minimalist or industrial schemes, but also adds a contemporary edge to softer, Scandi-inspired rooms. Keep styling practical: pair it with a monochrome lamp or a single ceramic vase, and avoid overcrowding the surface. Its 600 mm width makes it ideal as a sofa-side or bedroom table, and the neutral palette means you can introduce colour or texture elsewhere in the room without clashing.

About Tom Dixon

Established in 2002, Tom Dixon is a British luxury design brand offering contemporary lighting, furniture, and accessories. Their innovative designs are perfect for those looking to make a unique, modern statement in their home.

From Bass Guitar to Design Guru

Tom Dixon isn't your typical designer. Starting as the bass guitarist for Funkapolitan, a twist of fate led him to the world of design after a series of motorbike accidents.

By the 1980s, he was gaining recognition with pieces like the iconic "S' chair for Italian giant Cappellini. By the 90s, his creativity brought him to the forefront of British design, even rejuvenating the Habitat brand.

But it wasn't until 2002 that the Tom Dixon brand was established, with its base in London's King's Cross. The brand, known for pioneering lighting, furniture, and accessories, quickly gained international acclaim and is now represented in 90 countries.

Master of Materials

Tom Dixon's genius lies in his ability to reimagine ordinary materials. From the early days, he transformed found objects and industrial materials into art.

Whether it's the allure of copper, the shine of stainless steel, the imperfections in hand-beaten brass, or the timeless nature of stone, Tom Dixon products always have a unique touch.

His signature products, from the Melt pendant inspired by molten glass to the instantly recognizable Beat, S Chair, and Wingback, can be found in museums like the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and MOMA in New York.

More Than Just Products

Tom Dixon's impact isn't limited to individual items. In 2007, he launched Design Research Studio, which has since redefined spaces around the world.

From the Drugstore Brasserie in Paris to reimagining the modern cruise experience for Virgin Voyages, his design agency creates immersive environments.
