Description

The Edgy Rug explores the use of a border to highlight the rug whereas the deep pile provides a tactile and visual contrast, making it an eye-catching addition to any room. Its handwoven base with a cut-back hand-tufted pile design adds a layer of craftsmanship that can elevate the decor in both modern and traditional settings. The two available sizes (170x240cm and 200x300cm) also give flexibility depending on the room's size and layout. Designed by the in-house Tom Dixon London Studio. Handmade by skill artisans in Northern India. Available in two sizes. Comes with a 1-year warranty for peace of mind.

Our Stylist Says

I love this rug for its modern, architectural silhouette and versatility. The simple oval shape makes it a great focal point in a variety of spaces, from minimalistic living rooms to cosy bedrooms. Its neutral tone allows it to work effortlessly with both bold statement furniture and more muted palettes, making it a practical choice for many interiors. When styling, consider pairing it with sleek furniture and textured cushions to enhance its contemporary appeal. Also, its size is ideal for demarcating lounge areas or adding warmth under a dining table, ensuring it becomes a stylish yet functional element in your scheme.

About Tom Dixon

Established in 2002, Tom Dixon is a British luxury design brand offering contemporary lighting, furniture, and accessories. Their innovative designs are perfect for those looking to make a unique, modern statement in their home.

From Bass Guitar to Design Guru

Tom Dixon isn't your typical designer. Starting as the bass guitarist for Funkapolitan, a twist of fate led him to the world of design after a series of motorbike accidents.

By the 1980s, he was gaining recognition with pieces like the iconic "S' chair for Italian giant Cappellini. By the 90s, his creativity brought him to the forefront of British design, even rejuvenating the Habitat brand.

But it wasn't until 2002 that the Tom Dixon brand was established, with its base in London's King's Cross. The brand, known for pioneering lighting, furniture, and accessories, quickly gained international acclaim and is now represented in 90 countries.

Master of Materials

Tom Dixon's genius lies in his ability to reimagine ordinary materials. From the early days, he transformed found objects and industrial materials into art.

Whether it's the allure of copper, the shine of stainless steel, the imperfections in hand-beaten brass, or the timeless nature of stone, Tom Dixon products always have a unique touch.

His signature products, from the Melt pendant inspired by molten glass to the instantly recognizable Beat, S Chair, and Wingback, can be found in museums like the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and MOMA in New York.

More Than Just Products

Tom Dixon's impact isn't limited to individual items. In 2007, he launched Design Research Studio, which has since redefined spaces around the world.

From the Drugstore Brasserie in Paris to reimagining the modern cruise experience for Virgin Voyages, his design agency creates immersive environments.
