Description

Cloud is a sculptural short vessel made of highly reflective polished aluminium. Handmade in India by skilled artisans, each vessel has unique qualities with every hammer and indentation from stretching and warping the metal being preserved, reflecting the amount of work that has gone into the design. The silver vessel's shape is reminiscent of seedpods and can be used for a variation of purposes, such as a champagne bucket or as a vase.

Our Stylist Says

I love this short vase for its modern, sculptural shape and striking metallic finish. It works particularly well in contemporary and minimalist interiors, where its bold form can serve as a statement piece on its own. For styling, I suggest pairing it with fresh or dried florals that complement its sleek look-think monochrome stems or subtle greenery. It also looks great nestled among other textured or matte materials to create visual interest. Practically, its size makes it ideal for centrepieces or accenting sideboards and coffee tables without overpowering the space. Just keep in mind, due to its reflective surface, it works best when uncluttered to really showcase its sculptural appeal.

About Tom Dixon

Established in 2002, Tom Dixon is a British luxury design brand offering contemporary lighting, furniture, and accessories. Their innovative designs are perfect for those looking to make a unique, modern statement in their home.

From Bass Guitar to Design Guru

Tom Dixon isn't your typical designer. Starting as the bass guitarist for Funkapolitan, a twist of fate led him to the world of design after a series of motorbike accidents.

By the 1980s, he was gaining recognition with pieces like the iconic "S' chair for Italian giant Cappellini. By the 90s, his creativity brought him to the forefront of British design, even rejuvenating the Habitat brand.

But it wasn't until 2002 that the Tom Dixon brand was established, with its base in London's King's Cross. The brand, known for pioneering lighting, furniture, and accessories, quickly gained international acclaim and is now represented in 90 countries.

Master of Materials

Tom Dixon's genius lies in his ability to reimagine ordinary materials. From the early days, he transformed found objects and industrial materials into art.

Whether it's the allure of copper, the shine of stainless steel, the imperfections in hand-beaten brass, or the timeless nature of stone, Tom Dixon products always have a unique touch.

His signature products, from the Melt pendant inspired by molten glass to the instantly recognizable Beat, S Chair, and Wingback, can be found in museums like the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and MOMA in New York.

More Than Just Products

Tom Dixon's impact isn't limited to individual items. In 2007, he launched Design Research Studio, which has since redefined spaces around the world.

From the Drugstore Brasserie in Paris to reimagining the modern cruise experience for Virgin Voyages, his design agency creates immersive environments.
