Description

Beat is an extraordinary round chandelier featuring three individual Beat Tall, Beat Fat and Beat Wide ceiling lights. Each Beat light is made from hand spun brass sculpted by artisan craftsmen in Northern India. The creation of the Beat light is part of an ancient process that takes four days to complete and its beaten interior is re-purposed to refract and reflect a soft and warm luminosity.

Our Stylist Says

I love the trio for its modern yet functional aesthetic, perfect for adding a sculptural element to both contemporary and minimal interiors. Its versatility means it works well in open-plan kitchens, dining areas, or even stylish office spaces where statement lighting is desired. A practical tip is to arrange the pendants at varying heights to create visual interest and ensure even light distribution. Pair it with neutral tones for a sleek look, or introduce richer colours and textures around it to make it pop as a focal point. Overall, it’s a versatile piece that balances design and practicality, perfect for those seeking a stylish lighting solution.

About Tom Dixon

Established in 2002, Tom Dixon is a British luxury design brand offering contemporary lighting, furniture, and accessories. Their innovative designs are perfect for those looking to make a unique, modern statement in their home.

From Bass Guitar to Design Guru

Tom Dixon isn't your typical designer. Starting as the bass guitarist for Funkapolitan, a twist of fate led him to the world of design after a series of motorbike accidents.

By the 1980s, he was gaining recognition with pieces like the iconic "S' chair for Italian giant Cappellini. By the 90s, his creativity brought him to the forefront of British design, even rejuvenating the Habitat brand.

But it wasn't until 2002 that the Tom Dixon brand was established, with its base in London's King's Cross. The brand, known for pioneering lighting, furniture, and accessories, quickly gained international acclaim and is now represented in 90 countries.

Master of Materials

Tom Dixon's genius lies in his ability to reimagine ordinary materials. From the early days, he transformed found objects and industrial materials into art.

Whether it's the allure of copper, the shine of stainless steel, the imperfections in hand-beaten brass, or the timeless nature of stone, Tom Dixon products always have a unique touch.

His signature products, from the Melt pendant inspired by molten glass to the instantly recognizable Beat, S Chair, and Wingback, can be found in museums like the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and MOMA in New York.

More Than Just Products

Tom Dixon's impact isn't limited to individual items. In 2007, he launched Design Research Studio, which has since redefined spaces around the world.

From the Drugstore Brasserie in Paris to reimagining the modern cruise experience for Virgin Voyages, his design agency creates immersive environments.
