Character and softness… Made by French artisans, this floor lamp reminds us of hanging lanterns from Asia. The fine, white, slender steel structure stands out for its broad curve. Very inviting, the slender lampshade in natural raffia is highlighted by two braided straps in Williamsburg-coloured fabric (deep khaki). It’s topped off with an elegant golden metal ring. The light filtered through the raffia lampshade creates a delicate, soothing light atmosphere. This collaboration with a French artisanal company was born from the affirmed desire of Maison Sarah Lavoine to develop this collection in a short circuit and promote French know-how. Experienced craftsmen, using the traditions of shared learning, highly skilled in steelwork, welding and experts in the art of powder-coating. Demanding levels of craftsmanship that have been rewarded with the EPV label.
The Tokyo floor lamp is a sleek and contemporary piece that blends minimalist design with natural textures, making it highly versatile. I love how the raffia detail adds warmth and a tactile element, perfect for softening modern or Scandinavian interiors. It works particularly well in living rooms or reading nooks where ambient lighting is key, and it makes a lovely statement in neutral or monochrome schemes. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with simple furniture and natural materials like wood or rattan, and position it beside a comfortable armchair or sofa for an inviting, laid-back atmosphere. Its height and slim profile also mean it won’t dominate a space, making it a practical yet stylish addition.
