The TNP occasional table, designed by Christophe Pillet for the Théâtre National Populaire, one of the most prestigious French cultural institutions, is a new and important protagonist for furnishing homes and community areas. Its cast iron base, personalised with the theatre's logo, supports a square or rectangular top. All parts are lacquered in three colours: white, black or the same shade of red used in the French theatre.
The TNP Square table is a versatile piece that I really like for its clean, minimalist design and practical size. Its compact 70 x 70 cm footprint makes it perfect for smaller dining areas, kitchens, or even as a stylish overleaf table in a modern office setting. I’d recommend pairing it with contemporary chairs or bold coloured seating to add some visual interest. Its black finish lends itself well to monochrome interiors, but it can also work beautifully with natural textures like wood or stone for a balanced, layered look. Practical styling tips include keeping accessories minimal-think a simple vase or a tablelamp-to highlight its sleek profile, or layering it with textured textiles underneath to soften the starkness for a more welcoming vibe.
