Description
"Swirling light. Designed by the Japanese designer, Arihiro Miyake, the Titia pendant has a wonderful delicate openwork structure that is extremely airy. The complex web of intersecting lines forms highly graphical geometric patterns. The lampshade is made up of 3 identical ABS units which slot together very easily. The designer wanted to provide a powerful diffuse and uniform light, with no glare, in a form that was as light as possible. This idea was able to be realised thanks to LED technology which allows for optimal light efficiency with miniaturised light sources. Only the inner side of the lampshade is light. The external side of the lampshade is opaque while the inner side of the lampshade is translucent. A multitude of miniaturised LEDs are directly built into the inside of the fine structure of the lampshade. The designer, Arihiro Miyake, on the Titia pendant: ""I had in my mind a lamp which would bring together the style of tinsel and wooden merry-go-rounds. "".
