Description

This elegant and classic dining table sets the scene for theatre and drama at mealtimes, perfect for special occasion entertaining. Named after the mighty Roman emperor, the Titus dining table is handcrafted from cool marble in black or white, with a classic geometric brass border inlay. The trestle-style base lends a more modern feel, finished in Brushed Brass.

Our Stylist Says

I love this table for its striking mix of materials and bold presence. The black marble top adds a sophisticated, contemporary edge, while the polished brass base lends warmth and a touch of glamour. It works beautifully in modern interiors with clean lines and minimal colour palettes, but also pairs well with vintage or eclectic schemes that can highlight its luxe details. Practical styling tips include pairing it with streamlined chairs for a sleek look or adding textured textiles and statement lighting above to soften the visual impact. Since the surface can be quite polished, it’s best to keep table settings simple and avoid heavy or overly decorative pieces to let the materials shine. Overall, it’s a statement piece that combines style with functionality, perfect for creating a polished dining space.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
