Description

The Junction Coffee Table blends timeless design with natural elegance, featuring clean, minimalist lines and premium materials. Its cool marble top contrasts beautifully with sturdy, rustic timber legs, creating a striking visual and tactile appeal. Crafted for durability, the table highlights marble's unique veining and porous surface, which develops a rich patina over time, telling its own story with use. Perfect for modern living rooms, artisan interiors, and sustainable home design enthusiasts, the Junction Coffee Table combines style, functionality, and craftsmanship, making it a sophisticated centrepiece for any space.

Our Stylist Says

The Timothy Oulton Junction coffee table offers a sophisticated blend of classic marble with warm wooden details, making it a versatile piece that can elevate both contemporary and traditional interiors. I love how its neutral marble top provides a clean, timeless look, while the substantial wooden legs add warmth and a tactile element. It works particularly well in minimalist or modern interiors where the material contrast creates visual interest, but it can also ground more eclectic schemes. Practical styling tips include keeping the surface minimal for a sleek feel or adding layered textured accessories like trays, books, or plants to create a curated yet relaxed look. Its substantial size makes it ideal for spacious living rooms and it lends itself well to pairing with soft furnishings in neutral tones or contrasting accent colours for added impact.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
